Everything about this store oozes opulence - from the location, on a tropical store with waves crashing almost up to the store front itself, to the dark, lush, wood built, converted apartment, to the classic lines of the comfortable-looking leather sofas, elegantly dotted around, the understated decorations and the elegant artwork adorning the walls. You are left with a definite sense of exclusivity and style.
But this is not a store which favours style over substance. It is rare that the skill - or commitment to producing a quality product - shines out over quantity in the world of skin design, and it is at AIMI Skin that you will find a bastion of style and elegant skill. There are a small number of skins on display, all presented in three different skintones, which are then also presented in six makeup variations.
Each variation is available separately, with a fatpack also on offer, which gives you each of the six makeup variations in that particular skintone.
The pricing is incredibly reasonable, and, given the level of skill and detail apparent in each model, is nothing short of startling. This creator could charge a lot more for her work and we should all be thankful that she doesn't. The quality of these skins - especially at this price point - is almost startling. I have spent a significant amount of time visiting skin stores in Second Life and I can quite honestly say these are among the best and the most effortlessly attractive I have had the pleasure to discover.
One feature of this business which is definitely worth taking note of is the AIMI Skin Group. A joiner board is situated at the main desk, as is a gift card vendor, staff pager and redelivery terminal. The gifts given away this month, and set out on easels either side of the reception desk, are of the highest quality - a totally free skin and makeup pack for group members. Given that joining the group costs nothing, and the skin is of the same very high standard as all the others on sale at the store, it is an offer that is very hard to refuse!
