Audio Nation Radio
When you think of radio stations, internet or otherwise, you tend to think of hit music, entertaining personalities and good times.
Audio Nation provides all of the above and more. Audio Nation's headquarters is laid out in the style of a radio studio, with a seating area for listeners to sit and watch the hosts at work. There is even a gallery where the technical team can sit and produce the show in a role play style. A large display board tells you what shows are coming up and when, plus the obligatory "join group" boards and links to the Audio Nation stream and website.
If watching a DJ isn't your thing, there are plenty of gaming tables to keep you amused; backgammon, ludo, skeeball and a rodeo bull being just some of the things you can do while the music plays. There is also a shopping area selling female outfits and, for reasons unknown, wedding certificates.
Audio Nation is one of the quieter ares on Second Life, and is a great place to get away from everything for a while, chill out with friends and listen to great music. I was a bit disappointed to find there were no opportunities to actually join Audio Nation, being an ex community radio DJ myself, but that must not take anything away from the fact that Audio Nation deserves a visit.
